The DeSci Journal - First issue

Within the kick start of deScier, we are launching a minimum viable product (MVP), The DeSci Journal, as first end-to-end proof of concept open to the community with 10 manuscripts to be accepted for assessment and revision.

The DeSci Journal framework suggests scientific papers to be treated as assets by the authors, as true content creators of highly scientific quality.

The DeSci Journal proposes a new form of publishing scientific papers as a scientific paper NFT (SP-NFT) where the author will hold copyright and decide if the paper will be open-access, will have partly hidden text, access to original raw data, access to IP protected data, access to potentially patent fileable data, the percentage amount of royalties retained by a third-party who paid for the submission fees (if so), the percentage amount of royalties retained in the smart contract by the author and co-authors, the percentage amount to be transferred to the laboratory, the percentage amount to be transferred to the organization (university, research institution, company) in case of a sellable SP-NFT.

The deScier’s SP-NFT will remove the burden of payment to high-end journals and give access to individuals and organizations to use their high-quality content creation to further support their scientific work.
