Our solution

The Decentralized Science Journal | The DeSci Journal

Decentralization will change the way scientific publishing is done today.

Our mission is to expand and democratize scientific knowledge by offering a scientific publishing platform which places authors first giving them the very fundamental right to their manuscripts’ copyright, at affordable costs, help authors to create, fast turnaround time and support for funding their work.

Workflow – How we would build an “authors’ first” publication platform?

We will do that by the power of community using a digital cooperative model.

The workflow will follow previous industry patterns when authors upload a research text file to be peer-reviewed. Nonetheless, to lower friction, information regarding authors will be minimally requested without any form of login, either web2 or web3.

Authors will send their manuscripts and communications will be followed by email, WhatsApp and shared online files for closer and faster comms.

When accepted for being reviewed, authors will pay a submission fee.

This submission fee will be shared among those who will work to make sure the manuscript will be peer-reviewed, reach high quality scientific standards, and have an outstanding layout.

The deScier treasury will take a percentage of the submission fees to sustain operations and reinvest on projects voted by the community.

Currently, members can join deScier through collaborative work on Discord where tasks are executed and a predefined amount of $deSci pre-tokens related to the specific task are transferred to the contributor’s digital wallet.

A multi-sig deScier wallet is set in Safe and at least 2 (two) deScier members of the Genesis team have to approve and sign each task transaction. All transactions have hashes and can be audited in a transparent way.
